My name is Lisa. I recently began having migraine headaches that wouldn't go away. After 3 weeks, I was no longer able to concentrate on my job duties and began having to take days off at work.
I called my Primary care physician on Tuesday, Feb. 7th, but could not get an appointment. I was told to go to an urgent care office or to a hospital emergency room. I drove myself to an urgent care in Las Vegas that morning.
At the urgent care facility I was given a CT scan of my head. A dark mass was found on the right side of my brain approximately 3 cm x 5 cm in size. I was told to go to Valley Hospital Medical Center immediately.
I was admitted to the hospital and more tests were done. MRI's and additional CT scans showed other suspisious looking areas. Also found were a nodule on my adrenal gland and others on my liver.
On February 12th I had brain surgery to remove my tumor. The mass was removed and sent to pathology for testing. The results showed that the tumor, was indeed, cancer. Official name: Nueroendocrine Carcinoma.

I do have insurance through my work, but once I exhaust all my sick leave and vacation pay (in the next 2 weeks) my employer is wanting my resignation since I will not be allowed to continue as an employee on unpaid status. At that time, I will no longer have any medical insurance.
I would appreciate any help to pay my medical expenses while I fight this cancer. Thank you for reading my page. God is my strength!
