Lisa's Fierce Warrior Campaign
Hi everyone, as many of you know, 3 years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a bi-lateral mastectomy with reconstruction along with two other surgeries. A month ago I had what I thought would be my last surgery. But there was a complication and a week after the surgery he discovered a he discovered a severe hematoma in my left breast and I had to undergo another surgery two weeks after the first and he put me on disability. nWhat I have not shared with many, is that right before Christmas I was laid off from my job. But I figured I would get back to work easily in the new year. However, with these two surgeries, that remains uncertain and it is incredibly stressful. I am a very strong person and I remain hopeful this will not last long but right now I feel really overwhelmed. As you all know, my children Tyler and Natalie are my absolute world. Everything I do, I do for them and I need to continue to do so. And being a single mom isn't easy so I am asking for help. And I have learned through this journey with breast cancer that asking for help is not a sign of weakness but a sign of strength and that is a legacy I wish to pass along to my children along with when you do receive help, you pay it forward when you can. If you are able to help I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Warmly,
Lisa
