Please help your friend and my mother Linda Roberts!
Last week Linda sustained a very serious injury when a 150+lb mirror fell off the wall and crushed her right elbow. The 1st diagnosis was very grim and there was a moment when it was believed amputation may be required due to the loss of circulation below the elbow. A local friend was able to take her to a better hospital for a 2nd opinion. She has spent the last 48 hours there, and will likely stay hospitalized until a final decision can be made about the surgery. The 2nd diagnosis sounds more promising with regards to keeping the arm but reconstruction of elbow will be required. We are currently awaiting for more tests and scans to come back before making the final decision on how to proceed.
As you can imagine she is very scared but she is staying strong. Local friends are assisting with taking care of her beloved animals which is bringing her some peace of mind. Unfortunately the medical bills are beginning to accumulate and this is all before the major surgery which will occur in the coming days. Any financial support you can help provide her in this terrible time is very much appreciated. In the event that more money is raised than her bills require the remaining funds will be used to help facilitate bringing her back to America so she can rebuild her life and relationships in a more supportive situation.
