Lilly is a joyful and sweet pup who was adopted by Mimi and AJ in 2017. She wasn’t always this way - in fact, she had low energy and almost showed no signs of happiness before she was adopted; this is because Lilly used to live in a high kill shelter in Korea. Until Mimi and AJ adopted and saved her. In just two short years, she has made a significant impact on our entire family. She is so full of love, and we are grateful to have her in our life.
But Sweet Lilly is now quite sick, and we are all heartbroken.
She has always been a sneezer, but more recently, she had been sneezing consistently over a course of a couple of months and while her veterinarian thought antibiotics might help, her condition didn’t change. She was expelling mucus that made Mimi & AJ very concerned. Still, Lilly never lost her sweet and joyful disposition.
Mimi & AJ were referred to a specialist and after multiple visits, they learned that Lilly needed surgery for lymphoplasmacytic rhinitis, chronic inflammation of the mucuous membrane of her nose.
It was scheduled right away, and as soon surgery began, they unfortunately found a tumor that is impacting her eye socket and the roof of her mouth.
They met with the oncologist and learned about what they could do for sweet Lilly, but as most people can assume, the costs will weigh on them significantly.
If you know Mimi & AJ AT ALL, you know they are two of the kindest, and most generous people you’ll ever come across. They are truly selfless people with so much love to give everyone around them. But you might also know they aren’t likely to ask for help - because they’d never want to be a burden to anyone. But that’s why we are coming together to raise money - because helping them is anything BUT a burden. If tables were turned for any of us, Mimi & AJ would be the first people to show their support.
We have set a goal of $3,500, which is a fraction of the costs coming their way. This is not even considering the money they have already spent on the bills and treatment leading up to Lilly’s diagnosis. This amount will hopefully take some weight off of their shoulders as they are dealing with so much, not just finacially.
All proceeds will go towards Lilly's radiation, medical bills, medication, and making sure that she's able to continue to live the comfortable, happy life that Mimi & AJ have given her.
