Running a marathon to help Lilly Mae's special needs school
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Abraham Hoyle, I’m 21 years old, and this year I’ve set myself the challenge of running a full marathon in under 4 hours — not just for personal achievement, but to raise funds for something incredibly close to my heart: my sister, Lilly Mae, and her amazing special needs school, Mayfield.
Meet Lilly Mae
Lilly Mae is my beautiful little sister. She was born with a rare genetic condition called Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). This complex condition affects her in many ways — from her physical development and muscle strength, to her behaviour, emotions, and relationship with food. But despite these challenges, Lilly brings endless light, laughter, and love to everyone around her.
Why Mayfield School Matters
Lilly attends Mayfield, a specialist school that supports children with a wide range of additional needs. What Mayfield provides is so much more than education — it’s a place where Lilly is understood, encouraged, and safe. The staff go above and beyond every single day to create a nurturing environment where children like Lilly can thrive in their own unique way.
Thanks to Mayfield, Lilly is developing skills, confidence, and friendships that we never thought possible. The joy she feels going to school each day is something I can’t even put into words.
Why I’m Running
Training for a marathon isn’t easy — early mornings, long runs, sore legs… but every step I take is for Lilly and the incredible children at Mayfield who face far greater challenges every day.
All donations will go directly towards supporting Mayfield School and its students — whether that’s new sensory equipment, classroom resources, or funding special trips and experiences that make a real difference in their lives.
Every Penny Helps
Whether you can give £1 or £100, your support means the world. Even just sharing this page can help spread the message and raise awareness about Prader-Willi Syndrome and the incredible work Mayfield is doing.
Thank you for reading, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me support my little sister, and children like her, through this journey.
