Help Lila and Ash After Eaton Wildfire
Donation protected
Hi friends, family, and colleagues,
We are heartbroken to share that our dear friends, Lila Schmitz and Andrew (Ash) Hill, lost their home and all of their belongings last week in the devastating Eaton Canyon Wildfire.
Lila and Andrew had just moved into their new home in Altadena this past April. On Tuesday last week, they evacuated with their two beloved dogs, Kiki and Pippin, taking only a change of clothes after seeing a fire starting in the nearby hills. The following day, they received confirmation that their home—and the entire neighborhood they loved—had been reduced to ashes. They have lost all of their possessions, many of which are irreplaceable.
While we are grateful that Lila, Andrew, Kiki, and Pippin are safe, the road ahead will be long and challenging. We know this process is going to take significant time, effort, and financial resources.
Lila and Andrew are extraordinary friends, collaborators, and people who have poured so much love and creativity into their community. Now, it's our turn to support them.
Any contribution—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference in their journey. It's hard to fathom the enormity of what Lila and Andrew are going through right now, but we hope that our community's support will help cover incidentals and the myriad of uncovered expenses they will face in the coming months.
Let's come together to lift them up during this unimaginable time.
With love and gratitude,
Anika Kan Grevstad & Audrey Smith
