We're making this film for kids to see that when they're brave and passionate enough, they have the power to do anything. Now more than ever, we need stories that will inspire and empower the youth to rise up and be ready to change the world. That's what you're supporting when you support this film.
What's The Story About?
When her senile grandpa is too sick to catch lightning anymore, a young girl must face her fears and learn to catch lightning or the light in their lighthouse will go out.
It's a fantastical story about lightning catchers, magical lighthouses, and doing the impossible. But at its core, it's about growing up, learning, and mentorship. It's about family and most importantly, it's about trusting your gut.
How Can You Help?
To properly bring this story to life, we need your help. Your contribution to the film would help us pay the actors for their talent, feed our hard-working crew over our 6-days of shooting, help us achieve our vision cinematically, and much more. We don't have any big studios backing us, only the individual people who believe in us.

Thanks to your contribution, we were able to make the movie! And now, it’s time to watch it on the big screen! Join us at the Folino Theater in Orange County for our premiere of Lighting Dogs in April of 2020. If you can’t make this one, we’ll make sure to secure your tickets for another screening during our festival run in the Fall. $500 - Visit to set, VIP treatment and Patron Credit
With this incredible donation, you and your family will get a chance to visit our set in early November! While there, you’ll get the VIP treatment including a special photo shoot with our costumes, a tour, and the chance to be apart of our newsletter.
