A Blessing for Levi

Donation protected

On behalf of our family, thank you so much to everyone who reached out to us through this undeserved and amazing gift!

A special thanks to Mr. Joel Jensen (pictured with our family) for planning, coordinating and seeing this blessing all the way through.

Thank you all for helping to shoulder some of the burdens we carry in this life.  You have no idea how much this helps us (Andrea especially) on a daily basis; greatly easing transitions to school, therapies and doctor appointments.

Through your gifts, your prayers, and your words of kindness and love we experienced this promise, "My God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus." (Phil 4:19)

And we want you to know that whatever challenges you might be facing, God's love will provide for you as well; see how he took care of our greatest need in sending us a Savior. "He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" (Roman 8:32)

With sincere love and thanks!

Jon, Andrea and Levi Zimpelmann

Levi’s mission….

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,
I know that full well. ~ Psalm 139

“Fearfully and wonderfully made;” the first time people meet Levi, they see a bright, blue-eyed, beautiful little boy; perfect in every way.  And indeed, God did create a perfect child and gave him a mission, a mission to bring others closer to God.  A mission to teach people about selfless love, a mission to help people remember all that they have and to thank God for it.  Levi teaches people to pray.

Levi was born with a condition known as Lissencephaly, a rare disorder of the brain that leaves him unable to talk, and unable to walk, but can’t lesson his delight at the sound of his father’s voice or his mother’s warm embrace.

Most children born with Levi’s condition don’t live beyond the years of early childhood.  The disorder can cause severe loss of psychomotor control, failure to thrive, and seizures, but with constant attentive care, correct medication and therapy, a few, like Levi, beat the odds.

Levi’s father Jon is my Pastor, caring for the souls of his congregation and in his “spare time” being a proud and loving dad.  Levi’s mom Andrea, is his constant companion, selflessly looking after her son, loving him and providing for his daily care.

Levi’s days can be busy; between trips to school, trips to therapy and trips to his specialists, his mom and dad are constantly transferring him from their van to his chair and back again, sometimes several times a day.

As Levi has grown, it has become more and more difficult to move him from his chair into the family van, to a point now where it’s dangerous to lift him in and out of the vehicle.  Only recently, Andrea broke her foot while moving Levi into their vehicle and required surgery to repair it.

When I told Pastor and Andrea that I wanted to do this for them they responded as I knew they would, with deep humility and gratitude.  From Jon, “That is an incredible blessing for us to even try and comprehend!  We certainly don't deserve such a gift and we would most certainly be blessed by something like this; it would put my mind at ease as a husband and father, knowing Andrea wouldn't be struggling on her own trying to hoist Levi into and out of the van...especially as he gets bigger...especially in the winter.”

And from Andrea, “We feel very humbled with this offer and really feel it is an answer to prayers.  After having gone through some really trying days lately, this has been such a wonderful reminder of God's goodness to us, even and especially when, we don't deserve it.  Thank you!”

And so, it’s time to help this loving family, Jon, Andrea and Levi, and purchase a mobility van that can ease the challenges they face daily.  It’s time to pay it forward, time to thank God for all of his many blessings to us, time to allow God to work through us to help Levi fulfill his mission.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”

God bless you for helping in any way that you can.

The need is immediate, your contribution can make this happen for Levi!

Will you also please, please share this page with everyone; let’s make Levi’s mission our own!

Exciting news! God has provided a donor that will match every donation dollar-for-dollar up to $15,000.00!

If it's in your heart to share some of the blessings God has provided for you, your gift today will twice bless this family.

"You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God." ~ 2 Corinthians 9:11-12

Please pray that God’s will is made known, and through your generosity, God is glorified.  Thank you, Joel.
