Thank you Jason, I was working at the international arrivals addition at SeaTac when diagnosed with Stage 3 Esophageal Cancer. I have not worked since that time. I received 6 weeks of daily radiation along with weekly doses of two chemo drugs. My tumor, although still there, responded well to the treatment and has not spread to any other organs at this time. On April 9 I will have a very extensive surgery where they will remove about half of my stomach and all but a few inches of my esophagus. They will then stretch the remainder of the stomach up into my neck to attach to the stub of esophagus. The recovery time for this will likely be 3-6 months.
I absolutely appreciate all you have done for both me and Miguel. Valley has also been very accommodating and understanding to my situation.
Everything helps these days as our short term disability doesn’t pay much. I’ll attach a family picture.
