Just under two years ago I celebrated the birth of my son and now I must fight this breast cancer, (triple negative stage 3B), to ensure I live to see him grow into a man. I just buried my mother in November 2014, after she lost her bout with ovarian cancer. I haven't had time to grieve because I got my diagnosis right after her passing. After genetic testing I now know I carry the brca 1 gene. Double mastectomy and removal of my ovaries on deck. I am ready to fight this beast with all my might for myself and my loved ones. It will be a long road with time off work for chemo treatments and other doctors visits.
