With my heart in my hands, I write these words to ask for help for someone very special: my sister Patricia. She is 43 years old and has been diagnosed with uterine cancer. Patricia is not only my sister — she’s an extraordinary woman, the kind of person who’s always willing to lend a hand, care for others, and give without expecting anything in return. She’s a devoted wife and the loving mother of a 6-year-old boy. And now, more than ever, she needs us.

Since November, she began experiencing heavy and constant uterine bleeding. Her body grew weak — she needed blood transfusions, suffered intense pelvic pain, and has had to rely on painkillers frequently. After several medical tests, we received the news no one ever wants to hear: cancer. And in that moment, we knew that through God’s love, blessing, and mercy — and with your help — we would face this battle together.

She urgently needs chemotherapy, radiotherapy and vaginal brachytherapy. While we are doing everything possible to stay strong and hopeful, the economic reality in Venezuela makes it nearly impossible to afford everything this fight demands: treatments, tests, medications, transportation, and specialized medical care.

That’s why we’re turning to the kindness and solidarity of those who read this message. We ask, from the depths of our hearts, that you help us with whatever you can. Every donation, no matter the amount, is a step closer to Patricia’s recovery. There’s no such thing as a small contribution when it comes to saving a life.

Con el corazón en la mano les escribo estas palabras para pedir ayuda por alguien muy especial: mi hermana Patricia. Tiene 43 años y ha sido diagnosticada con cáncer de útero. Patricia no solo es mi hermana, es una mujer extraordinaria, de esas personas que siempre están dispuestas a tender la mano, a cuidar de los demás sin esperar nada a cambio. Es esposa, madre de un niño de tan solo 6 años, y ahora, más que nunca, necesita de nosotros.

Desde noviembre comenzó a presentar sangrados uterinos muy abundantes y constantes. Su cuerpo se debilitaba, necesitó transfusiones de sangre, presentaba fuertes dolores pélvicos y ha tenido que tomar analgésicos frecuentemente. Tras varios exámenes médicos, recibimos la noticia que nadie quiere escuchar: cáncer. Y con esa palabra, supimos que primeramente de la mano de Dios, con su amor, bendición y misericordia pero también con nuestra ayuda, saldríamos adelante!

El tratamiento que necesita incluye quimioterapia, radioterapia y braquiterapia uterina urgente, y aunque estamos haciendo todo lo posible por mantenernos fuertes y positivos, la realidad económica en Venezuela nos limita. No contamos con los recursos suficientes para costear todo lo que implica esta lucha: tratamientos, estudios, medicamentos, traslados, atención médica especializada…

Por eso, hoy recurrimos a la solidaridad y al corazón de quienes lean este mensaje. Te pedimos, de todo corazón, que nos ayudes con lo que puedas. Cada aporte, sin importar el monto, será un paso más hacia la recuperación de Patricia. No hay ayuda pequeña cuando se trata de salvar una vida.

Si no puedes donar, también nos puedes ayudar compartiendo esta campaña. Cada gesto cuenta. Cada palabra de aliento nos da fuerza. Cada donación nos acerca a la esperanza.
