My name is Becky Clark. I’m setting this gofundme up for my younger sister, Leslie Emerson.

Leslie has been in the Madison County School System for 14 years, most recently as the Culinary Arts teacher at Liberty Tech High School. She has two beautiful kids, Hunter, who lives in Trenton with his young family, and Dani (15) who lives at home with Leslie.

In December 2022, Leslie received the devastating news that she has Stage IV Metastatic Colorectal Cancer. She started Chemotherapy in January 2023. Due to side effects and symptoms related to the cancer and chemo treatments, she has not been able to return to the classroom this semester. As a single parent and the sole provider for her home, the financial burden is heavy on her mind. My goal with this fundraiser is to ensure her rent and utilities are paid every month during her treatments and that she and Dani have basic daily needs met such as food, personal care items, and fuel. We aren’t sure yet what medical expenses will be accrued during her treatments but there will no doubt be needs that we can’t see yet.
