LeRoy's Anti-Rejection Heart Meds

Donation protected
Hello My name is LeRoy Peralta, I just turn 46 years old in September. My journey started back on July 29th, 2014 when I was rushed to the E.R. at University Hospital with chest pains and not being able to breath. I was told that I had Conjestive Heart Failure;
Chronic Systolic Heart Failure
Dilated Cardiomyopathy
CHF NYHA Class III, Chronic, Systolic
Cardiomyopathy, Non-Compaction Cardiomyopathy
Aortic Valve Regurgitation and Thromboctopenia
I was discharged 9 days later and prescribed 14 different medications. I lost my job as General Manager because I was unable to fulfill my 55hrs. a week as required by the company.
On September 12th, 2014 I had another attack and was admitted and kept for 6 days and they continued to do different test.
On September 23rd, 2014, we were evicted from our apartment with my wife and 2 yr daughter. We were homeless. On that same day my wife left me because of all the financial stress that she was going through .On February 26th,2015, while at work at Raising Cane's  (Great Company) I had my 3rd attack. I was taken Touro's E.R., admitted and spent 17 days and had a
S/P ICD (Internal Cardiac Defibrillator) procedure put in.
I was referred to Dr. Hector Ventura at Ochsner Heart Transplant Clinic because my heart had a >20% ejection fraction. I DID NOT qualify for the LVAD which was the bridge to transplant. The only solution was a heart transplant. September 1, 2015, I lost my Medicaid Insurance and was put under the Obama Care Ins. which didn't cover any medications nor visits at Ochsner heart clinic. On October 29th, 2015 came back to Ochsner's ER for trouble breathing. I was admitted and discharged on November 8th. After 3 months I was able to get insurance with BC/BS during the enrollment period. On December 25th, 2015, (Christmas Day) I was rushed to the E.R. again  for coughing, swelling of my feet and legs, shortness of breath after 20 steps had to stop. I was told that I would not be going home until the heart transplant was done. Effective January 1st, 2016 I have full medical coverage and was put on the Heart Transplant List A-1 status because the right side of the heart is starting to fail. The reason for this fund is because I was told that the medications after the transplant can become very costly and they want me to focus on recovery and not have to worry about having the funds to cover the cost of medications, co-payments, deductables and any hospital bills that are not covered by the insurance. The hospital would like to see the fund taken care of before the surgery.
This has been a very difficult journey for me and my family but, it has increased my relationship with my Lord and Saviour "Jesus Christ" who has never left my side and answered all my prayers and has met all my needs. I have a daughter Kylie Sophia who is 3 1/2 yrs old and God has given me the vision of seeing her graduate and walking her down the aisle when gets married. I am so very greatful for any donation/gift that is given to this fund. It will mean that I only have to focus on my recovery. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me and my family by not having that financial stress. I want to thank my church (Celebration Church)  especially Pastor Dennis Watson for always calling me a "Walking Miracle"those words alone were so inspiring to me when my "Faith" was low, along with his prayers have gotten me through test (Testimony). I also want to thank Pastors; Tony, Stephen, David and Allen for them praying for me after church service. I also want to thank Glenn and Wayne for all the hospital visits and prayers.
A special thanks to Tammy, Scott and my Ariix family for all the support and prayers.
God Bless you and your family!
