Hello all,

As you may all know by know in October of 2018 I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. It is a blood cancer that is not curable, just treatable so I will be fighting for the rest of my life, this diagnosis has changed my life forever.

Because of my debilitating health I was forced to quit my job and I have used up all my saving. The process of fighting this horrible disease has and still is greatly affecting my finances.

I have permanent nerve damage to half of my right hand and 3 fingers, have had chemo treatments twice a week for the first 3 years along with a Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant in May of 2019 and my left femur broke in half in May 2020. I've had sop much radiation I probably glow in the dark under a black light. i was gone from home for 2 months for the most recent treatment that was May 2022 called Chimeric Antigen Receptor T Cell Therapy that caused my body to stop producing platelets & blood.

I've been going to Mitchell Cancer Institute Mondays & Thursdays to get my blood checked and have something called cross & type done to it so that on Tuesday & Friday I can go back to get the blood and platelets I need so 4 trips a week to Mobile. These multiple trips along with the multiple trips to UAB in Birmingham every 3 to 6 months, uncovered medical expenses and copays have put me in a major financially bind. 

I have never been one to ask for help for anything but in this case I'm asking. I've had 2 different insurance companies since my transplant and have accumulated a large medical debt on my credit cards. I have a PET SCAN every 6 mths, the copay for it is $150.00. This along with 8 medications monthly, $35 copays for 3 doctors monthly along with $40 copays for the other doctors i see every six months has broken me, in more ways than one.
