#LawandaStrong
Lawanda recently underwent major brain surgery to remove a large meningioma tumor after experiencing worsening balance problems, memory loss, and difficulty with speech. Although the surgery was successful, her recovery will be long, complex, and will require significant support.
Lawanda has faced serious medical challenges throughout her life. As a child, she survived leukemia between the ages of 4 and 7. She also lives with microcephaly, which has shaped many parts of her journey. Even through those challenges, she has continued to live with strength, faith, and a heart for others.
Before this diagnosis, Lawanda was the primary caregiver for her mother. Today, that reality has completely changed. She is no longer able to live independently and now needs help with walking, daily activities, and basic decision-making due to the cognitive and balance difficulties she is facing after surgery.
Her medical team has recommended intensive rehabilitation, followed by placement in an assisted living environment for her safety. That facility is more than two hours away from her home in New Bern, North Carolina, adding even more emotional and financial strain for her and her family.
Funds raised will help cover critical needs that insurance does not fully provide, including intensive rehabilitation, assisted living and supportive housing, daily care and supervision, transportation and relocation needs, and basic living expenses while she is unable to work.
Lawanda has always been someone who shows up for others without hesitation. She has carried herself with quiet strength, deep faith, and resilience through every challenge life has placed before her. Surviving childhood leukemia, living with microcephaly, and now fighting through recovery after brain surgery are all part of her story. We truly believe she is still here for a reason.
Right now, she needs the same love and support she has given so freely to others.
This fundraiser is just getting started, and sharing means so much in these early days. Even if you are not able to donate right now, a simple share can help her story reach more people who may be able to help. Every act of kindness makes a real difference in her recovery.
Please consider donating, sharing, and keeping Lawanda in your prayers. Thank you for standing with her during this difficult time.

For maximum exposure, I would keep the hashtags to about 6 to 10 on Facebook, since too many can look cluttered. A cleaner Facebook set would be:
