Asking for help, especially when it comes to money, is never a comfortable or easy thing to do.
A few months ago I received treatment for my anorexia. I was in a bad place and with the help of a treatment center was able to get a bit more stable. Unfortunately my insurance cut me out of the higher level of care before I was ready to step down and I started to relapse while in the program. They ended up kicking me out because of that relapse. I have continued to relapse and now am to the point that I am very sick. My treatment team, and myself, are very worried about my future if I don't get help asap.
The root of my eating disorder is due to PTSD from the extensive abuse of my father, and so going to a treatment center that really specializes in trauma as well is very important. My therapist has found a treatment center that specializes in what I need. Luckily, my insurance covers most everything while I'm there, but unfortunately there are still big costs in my way before I can go, and after the previous treatment our funds and my families funds are more than tight. There is the initial deposit of almost $2,000 and then also the cost of the housing while in their step down program.
Any little thing you could spare to help in my recovery would be unbelievably appreciated and never forgotten. I am scared of the place I'm at and I'm trying to get my health back for my myself so that I can make life better for my kids and family.
