Hi guys,

My name is Mike and this fundraiser is for my friend's mom who was diagnosed with cancer in her lungs and liver just several months ago.

My friend Jackie and I became really good friends last year in 2014 starting from when she saw me play some music at a bar in Mt. Pleasant, SC :p

Well...within just a couple of months of us knowing eachother...her mom was diagnosed with cancer in her liver and lungs and is now a stage 4.

Jackie's mom had to stop working due to the cancer being as severe as it is so Ken (her husband) had to take on all of the major bills with the help of Jackie. Because of what had happened...it really caused a significant effect on everyones lives not only emotionally but financially as well. With all of this going on..It hurt my heart to see Jackie and her family struggle the way that they were.

So..last month..I purchased a home in North Charleston and without me knowing, Jackie and her family were looking for places to live since they could not afford their current living condition anymore.  So..one day during lunch I went to see Jackie and her family when Jackie was sick with the fever and I offered them to stay with me in my four bedroom home and I remember it as clear as day when Jackie turned to me and said, "idk mike..thats a huge responsibility". ..

well readers....it was a huge responsibility but I love my friend and her family so I couldn't see them suffer like that and I by no means make a lot of money. i make below the national poverty level...I was able to buy a house with such a low income because I served as an active duty Marine :)

now here's the hard part though.....because of the medical procedures being as expensive as they are...it's being really hard to afford it...

I Thank God that I have a house but more money is definitely needed in these rough times :
