Laura Ferragamo, a loving teacher gone too soon

Anyone who knew Laura knew not much meant more to her than her students. Laura was a middle school math teacher who found joy and happiness in numbers and helping her students. Teaching was the first love of Laura's life. She loved math and numbers so much that when she found the physical love of her life, Joe Simeone they got married on March 14, 2015 (3.1415) also know as Pi Day.

Joe and Laura were blessed with each others presence twice in their life. First when they were kids they were both members of the Bethlehem Assembly of God youth group. Then in August of 2012 they were reconnected. Joe and Laura had spent five years together after they reconnected. Five years of unconditional love, lots of laughter and a lifetime of memories. In June of 2017, Joe suddenly left us. During this difficult time in Laura's life, she was surrounded by her closest family members and friends.

Laura never skipped a beat. She selfied her way through each and every holiday or family gathering. In typical teacher fashion, she always came prepared with an activity, matching t-shirt, or something for the family to continue the memories. Laura's presence can never be replaced. Laura's memory will continue to carry on for the rest of time with the help of her family, friends, colleagues and students.

A portion of the donations made will go to a scholarship in Laura's name to a deserving math student at PS. 114. The remainder of the donations will go to Laura's family to help cover funeral arrangements and all other expenses.
