UPDATE!!!

We have officially finished the editing phase of River Warrior, and now the next chapter of the journey begins as we move fully into festival season! We could not be more proud of what Ann and our team accomplished throughout the making of this film, and we are incredibly excited to begin sharing it with audiences.

As an independent documentary, film festivals are an incredibly important part of helping us share this story with wider audiences and hopefully secure future distribution opportunities. However, the festival circuit comes with many expenses, including festival submission fees, travel costs, lodging, screening deliverables, promotional materials, and other distribution-related expenses.

Our current goal is to submit River Warrior to more than 40 film festivals across the country, and we would love to make it possible for at least Ann and director Haley Mellon to attend 20–25 of those festivals in person. We deeply believe that Ann’s presence, storytelling, and ability to connect directly with audiences are one of the most special aspects of this project, and we would love to give people the opportunity to experience that firsthand whenever possible.

We created this GoFundMe to help support River Warrior through this next phase of the journey and give the film the strongest opportunity possible as it heads into festivals and beyond. Any contribution — big or small — will go directly toward helping us continue sharing this story with audiences around the country.
