Land Reclamation: Schaghticoke First Nations

We are raising money to benefit Schaghticoke First Nations Inc, Land Reclamation Project and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

Music as a healing force:
The intention of this project is to bring compassion and healing to our human history of violence and disconnection. In my own lineage this project is in particular a prayer to heal the wounds between my ancestors and those they colonized including the Schaghticoke people. For example, one ancestor Simeon Turner was a revolutionary soldier in my mother’s lineage who fought against the local tribes in the Hudson Valley during the 1700s. I hold him and those he battled in compassion. This is a prayer for healing this history and the earth who has suffered from these wounds.

As thank you for a donation of any size you will be sent a link to a music video that will only be available to donors (we have not yet completed the video but you will receive this in the next few months). This thank you music video CelloMedicine project is myself in collaboration with pianist Barbara Lysakowski, with amazing recording engineer Robin Moore and superb videographer Christopher DeSanty. Barbara and I will be presenting the beautiful Sonata written by English composer and pacifist Frank Bridge, written during the First World War and during the last pandemic. Our music is a prayer for peace.
