Let's help Laila go to college

Donation protected
Kara Marie Zornig passed away on January 9th, 2024, after losing a long battle with cancer. Kara was 42 years old and is survived by her eighteen-year-old daughter, Laila Marie Zornig, her parents Mark & Janice, and younger siblings Adam and Kelly.

Laila graduated with honors from Apalachee High and earned the Hope Scholarship—a blessing since Kara was unable to work since August of 2023 and had no life insurance or savings to leave her daughter. Laila is currently taking a gap year, but her love for animals led her to take a job at a pet care center. Although she has not declared a major or chosen a college, her interests lie in animal sciences, agriculture, and psychology. Her hardworking and inquisitive nature will lead to success in whatever field of study she decides to pursue.

Our family's hope is to start a college trust fund that will supplement her Hope Scholarship allowing her to attend a Georgia college as a full-time student. In lieu of flowers, your financial donations toward this goal will be greatly appreciated and carefully managed.

Let’s help Laila so we all can celebrate her future graduation and success in life, including her Mom from Heaven.
