Hi, my name is Glen. My truck is broken down in Mountain Ranch CA. I was living on a property as caretaker and for the past 2 months, I've been helping a elderly couple in their 80's do Defensible space clearing on their 40 acre property. They are in their 80's and unable to keep up with the property maintenance themselves. They are in a fixed income and have limited budget. I've been working for $15 per hour. I've been doing construction work my entire life and am a very experienced home builder and handyman. However, at this stage of my life, I've found that taking care of the forest and cleaning unmaintained portions of the national forest has become a passion of mine. Since covid, I've spent months living in my travel trailer clearing national forest areas and making the forest beautiful again. However, I needed to support myself so I posted ads on Craigslist and found people who opened property in the mountains and needed help making their home safe incase of fire and at times, helping them keep their fire insurance.

I've helped several people. My current situation has placed me with a elderly narcissistic acting couple. They have become verbally abusive and made this a negative place to be. They show no gratitude or appreciation for any of the hard work I do here and that leaves me with bad feelings about my surroundings.

My truck possibly needs a new engine and I was unable to leave the property.

I had an ad on Craigslist and was confident I would find another caretaker position, which I did. Thanks to BC, a friend from highschool, my trailer and truck are safe and sound at my new project location where I will act as property security while land owner is away on business and I will also clear the land of trees fallen and burned by the Butte Fire several years ago. I am so grateful to be in my new surroundings. Thank you Bryan and Tammy Clark!

There is a positive energy here, the ranch owner Is a smart business man and it looks like we will have a good healthy working environment. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity.

As I write this update, donations have been rolling in all day and I am currently $465 from reaching my goal!!! I am a blessed man with one amazing tribe, a wonderful loving family and support group.

I made several calls today and may have a ROP program interested in working on my engine and transmission. I am still trying to find a good engine at a good price. I will know more details tomorrow.
