Transportation to Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
My daughter Kyla was on her way to Missoula (150 mile round trip from Plains, MT) in their decrepit but (barely) usable van for a PET scan to determine a treatment plan for her ductile breast cancer with lymph involvement when they (Kyla and her husband and 10 year old son) when they hit a deer and demolished the van (which they had just gotten road-worthy with a $1000 gift from a church charity).
All are OK, but now they have no transportation - there are no rental cars in Plains (an isolated town of around 1,000 people). Kyla needs to get to Missoula to get treatment for her breast cancer. If you know anything about her, you know that she is the most caring and compassionate woman in the world - and you'd also know how reluctant she is to ask for $$ help from her friends. But I have no such compunction. I know how difficult it is to ask for help but since I am 77 and not 50, as she is, I am here asking for help from her friends and mine.
Kyla worked hard as a part time worker at an assisted living facility but recently, she was laid off. She is the sole provider for her family.
