KUMARI Project: Remote Sustainability

Donation protected
There are two purposes to this campaign.

1). Complete the post production process of this beautiful and uplifting documentary. We are looking at some of the last puzzle pieces here and estimate 5k$ to finnish up the post production(edit phase).

2). Raise the rest of the funds needed to bring 2 young girls(Jagats daughter & Her best friend) from Kumari to Utah to go to school. They will be here for three years living with a local family that has opened their doors to a better world.  The girls will take the knowledge they gain here back to Kumari and train others. These Girls are amazing & strong spirits. I believe the heart of a person is often very easy to see, when it is a loving heart. That is the case here. at the bottom of this page is a copy of a letter she wrote to some of the people who are also assisting them with this dream. The dream to save her people. Our people!

  ~ "Hello Randy and Carrie,
I am Dikshyanta. All of my friends have started to go college here and even i am excited to join high school. People keep questioning me about why going to US to study and why not Nepal ? Its not that I think Nepal does not have a proper education facility, its that opportunities don't come to you every time but when it does, we must be wise enough to let it in and make something better out of it. Going US and joining high school is one of the rare opportunities that anyone could get and I feel so lucky to have this opportunity, to get scholarship and to get support of everyone.

My grandfather died due to the unavailability of health services. You might have known that. He wished for the welfare of people and village. My father worked to fulfill his father's wish. It sure was not possible with all other people's support and effort. He built a hospital in our village so that any other person will not have to die like our grandpa, due to lack of adequate health services. He built a higher secondary school in the village itself so that all the children could attend the school and get education.

Me and my father's wish is to make myself capable and successful enough to develop our village and community. I want to work in my village and help all the people. To develop someone or something first of all, i need to make myself well educated, successful and resourceful. I dream to be aware, educated and established so that I can work to make a better change in the society. No matter if i be a social worker, a doctor, an engineer or any professional figure, i want to bring a change within the people. The happiness we get after helping others is the greatest happiness one could get.

I have a big dream. This opportunity has let me to dream this. There is no way we could afford to go school in US or any other foreign country. You have brought the hope in us and we are so grateful for that. We will make all of you proud of us. This opportunity means a lot to us. Our whole dream is based on it.

You all have already done so much for us. We cannot describe in words how thankful we are. We know that you have worked very hard during the whole process of bringing us there and getting all the things correct. It is not easy and we are aware of it.

Ayusha and I have the similar dreams and aspirations. We sure will return back to our country because there is no other place like our birth place. Nepal is the place where all our dreams would come true. We will work hard and make all of you glad that you had put effort and helped us through all of it. Thank you

Namaste,
Dikshyantal

The words of Dikshyantal are moving and pure. We are all excited to be a part of the abundant joy they will bring to Kumari, and to the world.
