Kruz's Medical Costs
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Cathy and I am fundraising for my dear Great Nephew and his family. His name is Kruz, and he is almost 2 years old. He was born with Hirschsprung's disease which has caused him to be in and out of the hospital since birth. Hirschsprung disease is a birth defect in which some nerve cells are missing in the large intestine, so his intestine can't move stool and becomes blocked. He has undergone numerous surgeries and treatments to repair this disease and thanks to the great care he received from the Physicians at Nationwide Childrens Hospital in Columbus, Ohio he is hopefully on his way to a full recovery.
Kruz is now back home in Rogers, Arkansas with a ileostomy bag to give his colon some much needed rest. Daycare is unable to keep Kruz during this time so his mom, Holly, will be taking a leave of absence from work to care for Kruz. They anticipate he will have the ileostomy bag for 6 months to a year. Amazingly, Kruz continues to be a happy and energetic little boy and he's not letting this disease slow him down.
I have started this fundraiser to help cover medical bills and the time Mom has to stay home from work.
