The Summersville, WV Knights of Columbus, Marist Council 7772,  has a major objective this time of year to help the needy in our commumity.  The Christmas Food for the Needy Project helped 90 families and 322 individuals in 2014 with food distributed to those families.  I am creating this go fund me page to raise money for this very worthy project.  100% of funds go directly to Marist Council for this project.

Nicholas County is in coal country and has been hit hard economically.  More families are in need in this area than ever before, so any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated.

The Marist Council relied heavily on Bingo for funding of major projects such as this, but due to changing demographics bingo is no longer profitable for the council.  So other methods of fund raising are being utilized to fill the gap.  The target amount in this campaign is the amount we are short if we want to at least meet last year's project of 90 families.
