For 42 years, Lori Lippitz has been the heart and soul of Chicago’s klezmer revival. For her birthday (which also happens to be Giving Tuesday), the best gift would be support for her efforts by making a donation to the Klezmer Music Foundation. When you do, you will be supporting:

• The Junior Klezmer Orchestra, which has been giving young people a vital creative outlet and deep connection to culture through music since 1994.

• Community klezmer bands and music education resources, including the launch of the Joy of Klez II band books.

• Uplifting performances for our elders, and educational entertainment for schools.

Our goal is to raise $18,000 to keep these projects going and growing in 2026.
