UPDATE: We are heartbroken to share our dear friend was abducted again. This time she was attending her mandatory regular immigration check in on Monday - following all of the rules. We are working quickly to try to reunite her with her kids and husband, but they will now spend their favorite holiday - Christmas - apart.

We are told that she may be removed at any moment, so we are moving fast to submit a habeus corpus petition and a stay of removal. This fundraiser is to support those legal fees, and in the event she is deported anyway, we want to make sure the family has ongoing support for things like childcare and meals.

Previous Information & Background (5/25):

This fundraiser is for a mom in our community who was removed from her family on Tuesday and detained by ICE. She is actively breast feeding her youngest, and her family and community need her home. This family is such a positive and loving part of our community, and our hearts are breaking with them as they navigate this horrific situation.

The funds from this fundraiser will be given directly to the family to help with legal fees, food, childcare, etc.

UPDATE: Mama was allowed to return to her family temporarily, but the family has a major legal battle ahead that they do not have the resources for. We will continue to work to support them so she can remain with her husband and children.
