Joey Moore's Funeral Fund
Dear friends and family members of Joey Luther Moore: I am writing to you today to let you know about the heartbreaking loss of Joey Moore on 5/16/2020.
We as a community, family, and friends are absolutely devastated by the unexpected passing of Joey Luther Moore and have created this donation fund to aid in, and hopefully cover, the cost of the service. At the least, this is a way we are all able to present some form of alleviation and support to his family through these sorrow times that Joey's mother, father, and anyone affected by the loss may experience.
Joey Luther Moore's obituary can be found here. The funeral service information will also be updated ASAP. We are currently giving the family space, time, and support; so, once further details are known you will able to find where it is held at [here], on [date and time]. We do not want to rush moments like these.
Based on researching expenses, here is a breakdown of all the costs involved in the service for Joey Moore:
The average funeral costs between $7,000 and $12,000.
This includes viewing and burial, basic service fees, transporting remains to a funeral home, a casket, embalming, and other preparations.
Joey Moore's fund shall be handled by Joey's mother and grandmother, his best friend, Jenna Valentine, and Nathaniel Thomas, Joey's cousin.
The fundraiser shall continue up until 5/27/20. I’ve started a fundraiser to collect donations for Joey Moore’s funeral service—here is the link.
Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are so very grateful for every donation during this difficult time. We love you, Joey, you will never be forgotten,
With love,
Nathaniel Thomas
-a personal message to the big brother I never had-
I will always have you in my heart, and our memories on my mind. We all come together throughout times like these, and, I know you'd be proud of us for doing so. I am going to take the hoodie and shirts you gave me to South Korea, so we can finally go overseas like we had been planning to. I hope you're ready for the plane ride! It'll be a long one; but, at least we'll be closer together in a sky that reaches so high
One last note to everyone: please, reach out, and look out for your friends who may be going through more than to be seen on the surface. Check-in on your friends, hug them, tell them you love them, and most of all PLEASE make sure to enjoy the time while you have it❤️. 5/16/2020. Engraved into my heart. Joey always supported his friends, family, and strangers through school, work, new aspirations in life, and would be there for you faster than you could ask him to be! No matter what - Joey, you will live on within each and every person you met. We all love and miss you.
