Kian’s Fight Against HLHS

Hello, my name is Jay and my wife's name is Anna. This story is about our son, Kian Alexander. At 13 weeks, he was diagnosed with a heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, short for (HLHS). It is a rare congenital heart defect in which the left side of the heart is severely underdeveloped and incapable of supporting the systemic circulation. It is estimated to account for 2-3% of all congenital heart disease.

At a week of age, he had his first major heart surgery; everything went well. He needs 2 more heart surgeries done and he has an upcoming surgery in December.

We are recently suffering from financial struggles with bills being due because of all the appointments for our baby boy’s upcoming surgery. Unfortunately, my job recently laid me off due to having to call off work to take our son to the doctors. This GoFundMe is for him. Every donation will be to give our baby the chance to grow in a beautiful loving home and make sure he is very well cared for.
