Ken's Corner: Ken's Fight with ALS

Story

Ken Olson: Husband, Father & Step Father of 4, Grandfather of 3, Pillar of the Lubbock Community, Army Veteran, ALS FighterKen was recently diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), a disease most commonly known now by the ice bucket challenge. Where there is no ice involved we are now challenged in adapting and overcoming this diagnosis. For the foreseeable future Ken will have to travel from Lubbock TX, to the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale AZ for his appointments. Thus far, insurance has covered the majority of the testing and therapy but there is much more to come. We are hoping to get assistance with the travel, lodging, and other miscellaneous items we are starting to realize that we will need.May is ALS awareness month, where most people recognize ALS for 31 days; with your help we will recognize it every day, until a cure is found. Your thoughts, prayers, and even words of encouragement and support are greatly appreciated, and all donations will solely go towards Ken’s fight against ALS. If you wish not to donate using GoFundMe, and would like to still contribute to Ken’s fight please contact us.To learn more about ALS please visit: http://www.alsa.orgTwitter: @KensCorner2015Facebook: Ken’s Corner
