Kenny-Morrison-Phoenix Cup 2023, USA v Europe

Hi there and thanks for visiting this page, I'm Kenny Morrison, Isle of Harris, and this fundraising is for me to take part, as Vice Captain of Scottish Disability Golf Team Europe, in the Phoenix Cup between USA and SDGC Team Europe in California in August 2023.

The Phoenix Cup is the world's first fully inclusive team international for golfers with a disability and is based on the Ryder/Solheim Cup where disabled golf groups from around the world are invited annually, to bring together teams to compete and continue to develop and promote the sport for players of any age, with any type of disability. To date, The Phoenix Cup is still the only pan-disability team golf event in the world.

The 2023 Phoenix cup is to be played from 28th to 30th August 2023 over 3 courses in California in the USA. The competition will be a Ryder/Solheim Cup matchplay event between a team of disabled golfers from the USA and Europe.

Team Europe will consist of 14 players and while every effort will be made to mitigate the costs of the trip, individual players will be expected to cover much of the travel, golf, accommodation and extra costs themselves.

I am looking to raise as much money as possible and hope to be in a position to not only fund the trip for myself but also help SDGC Team Europe reduce the costs for all players so please note that funds may not be solely for my expenses.
