Kenneth Young's Funeral Services

On the morning of Monday, May 29, 2017, Kenneth Young passed away suddenly from a heart attack while visiting Santa Barbara, CA with his wife and eldest son. He was 56, soon to turn 57 in a week, and two weeks away from celebrating his 30th wedding anniversary.
Born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on June 4, 1960 he arrived in the U.S. in 1975 as a refugee of the Cambodian Civil War with his parents and siblings. Kenneth went on to succeed academically and professionally, earning his bachelors degree at the University of Maryland-College Park, two masters degrees at CSU Dominguez Hills and CSU Fullerton, and serving the Measurement Science Department of the U.S. Navy as a civilian Electrical Engineer for over 30 years.
In his private life Kenneth was a loving husband and doting father of four children. He enjoyed gardening his fruit trees, camping in King's Canyon National Park, eating all kinds of food, and being home with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Young; his four children Christopher, Kyle, Amanda, and Victoria; as well as his mother Thengvan Ea; his five siblings Sadeth Lee, Sarina Gibbs, Sarini Gani, Peter Chhongvan, and Saraboth Ea; and many neices, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
Funeral services have been arranged to honor Kenneth's life and impact and are detailed below.
