Kenneth Eric Hamilton

On June 6, Ken (Eric) began experiencing pain in his neck and chest. When it didn’t go away, he agreed to let his wife, Gina, take him to St. Mary’s hospital in Georgia. He was diagnosed with a type A aortic dissection (a tear in a main artery of his heart). As Ken (Eric) was fighting for his life over the next 24 hours, his only selfless concern was the financial obligations that Gina would be left to deal with alone if he didn’t make it. Ken’s whole life was about being of service to others, not just his family, but everyone he met as he was passing through. His heart was so full of love, it’s really no surprise that it was his big heart that took him back to his Maker. If you needed anything from the smallest to the seemingly impossible, Ken (Eric) was only ever a phone call away. Fortunately he had an opportunity to speak to each of his family members before going into surgery. Unfortunately, he never made it out of surgery but passed peacefully. The fact that we will have to continue in this world without him is unimaginable, but I know that he has touched so many lives and because of that he will always be with us.
