Kelly's K-Krew Stroke Fight Fund

Kelly Panella, a devoted nurse at Christiana Care Hospital for almost four decades, suffered a severe stroke in January, leaving her with major physical limitations and a speech deficit.  Kelly possessed immense amounts of compassion, kindness, energy, and love, lifting not only the spirits of her patients, but also those of strangers, friends and family.

Kelly graduated from Delcastle Technical High School and went on to attend Delaware Technical Community College and Wilmington University.  Kelly and her adoring husband Kenny have four children, all of whom currently attend college: Kelsy, Krista, Kenny and Karlee (aka K-Krew).

Currently, the Panella family is experiencing a great deal of financial burden.  In addition to the loss of income, Kelly’s condition will require major renovations (ramp, door-ways, bedroom and bathroom) to the home as well as ongoing nursing care during her long journey to recovery. 

Our goal of this fund is to assist the family with defraying some of the costs and is dependent on the generosity of her friends and the community.
