Keeran has Down Syndrome and because of this he is not able to navigate the coordination and balance it takes to ride a traditional bike. Over the years when we wanted to bike  I found different bikes that helped him join us until he got too big for me to power him on my own.
So I decided to begin looking for a solution. and after 4 years of waiting and trying  bikes and of wishing, and trying out more bikes I finally found a fit ! I finally found Keeran's bike: the HASE Pino!
This bike is the perfect solution. The seat provides security for Keeran along with comfort, he sits in front so I know he is safe, the pedaling can be independent ( for those times he pedals backward) and the design enables a single person to be enabled to power the bike for two easily when he gets tired.
When Keeran bikes, he just starts making this "happy sound". It is so wonderful to be able to do something fun together that is both beneficial to his long term health & fitness as well as his feeling of self accomplishment & pride. It is exciting to think of us doing an activity together as a family!
I honestly did not consider that purchasing a special bike would be  possible  but after dreaming and then finding the bike, I thought I just had to try...so here I am saving $, and fundraising  through non-profits and trying to gather your support.
Your gifts mean more than simply money to me-they encourage me to dream big for Keeran and fuel my advocacy on his behalf. I started with the idea to support Keeran all his life in ways that make the doors that are shut to  him open. I homeschool him, travel with him and believe great things of him and do you know what? He leads me and he teaches me!
