The Puppies and Kittens on Anguilla need your Help
For nearly 20 years, the 100 % volunteer based Anguilla Animal Rescue Foundation (AARF)
has depended on the generosity of animal lovers from around the world. We dedicate our work to the welfare of the animals on Anguilla and run a shelter for dogs, puppies, cats and kittens without a home.
Two years ago Anguilla was devastated by Hurricane Irma, but donors everywhere came through and your generosity allowed us to keep the shelter open and continue our work for the dogs and cats of this Caribbean island. Sadly our resources to run the shelter are now at a critical low with just around two months of funding in our reserve.Despite our successful free spay and neuter projects, education programs and local adoptions we have been overwhelmed with puppies and kittens that need our care and help with finding a home.
The Puppies and kittens who come to the AARF shelter are given exams by our veterinarians, dewormed, vaccinated, given fecal tests and baths, as well as being boarded, all before they find their forever homes. AARF charges a very small adoption fee and that only covers a small fraction of the veterinary charges and other expenses involved in preparing a puppy or kitten for adoption and or transport.
We’re hoping that with your invaluable support we can raise enough funds to secure the continuation of our work at least until the end of 2019. And for our part, the AARF Board commits to continue working hard to raise funds also locally, through our thrift store – “Second Chances”
– which generates a small but steady income, and by organizing events that will raise not only funds but awareness of the fantastic work that AARF does.
We are an established non–profit corporation
which has a subsidiary corporation in Florida (the Anguilla Animal Rescue Corporation or AARC) that has been granted U.S. 501(c)(3) status. Your donation will be tax deductible
. Your entire donation will be used to run the AARF shelter and provide a much-needed service on Anguilla; a place we all love.
The animals and people of Anguilla need the AARF shelter and your help will keep us up and running. Please consider giving what you can to AARF, as your help is crucial!AARF Website Aarf Anguilla Facebook
