I’m creating this fundraiser for Violet, a sweet puppy who has already found a very special place in our family. Violet is the little sister of Iris, my daughter’s service dog, and although we were not originally meant to bring her home, circumstances changed when we learned she has a congenital heart condition that will require surgery. Violet comes from a careful breeding program, and both of her parents have heart certifications, so this diagnosis was unexpected. Her breeder has been incredibly honest and supportive through all of this, including covering Violet’s initial cardiologist appointments and follow-up testing. Even with this challenge, Violet has shown what an amazing girl she is. She passed the temperament test, just like Iris, and she has so much love, potential, and joy to give.

Violet’s heart surgery is estimated to cost between $8,000 and $10,000 depending on the complexity of the procedure. Any donations will go directly toward that surgery, and anything beyond that will help with her lifelong care, including biyearly echocardiograms and likely heart medication. We want to give Violet every chance at a happy, comfortable life surrounded by love and her sister Iris.
