August 12th 2020 started out like any other day, but very quickly became the worst day of our lives. Our two year old daughter, Alessia, was in a car crash that severed her spine leaving her paralyzed from the chest down. I’d like to share who our daughter is before explaining the gravity of our situation.

Since Alessia was born, she has stolen the show wherever she goes. Since she was able to stand, she has loved dancing. She loves watching dancers on YouTube and emulating their different styles. She is part diva, part Tomboy/maverick, and prior to the accident it was not uncommon to catch her doing push ups, squats and lunges... all while wearing kiddy high heels and a tiara. Aside from dancing, she loves playing outdoors with her two brothers Logan and Theo.

The initial prognosis was that she would never walk again and would potentially not be able to move from her neck down. We are blessed to say that she has exceeded the initial expectations and can now move her arms and has limited function in her hands. She has had five surgeries since the fateful day & will require more in the future.

While she has endured more pain & adversity then any child should have to, we are in awe each day of her positive attitude. We have experienced countless rejections/delays from insurance and our goal is to always be able to provide her with what she needs to continue improving at the time she needs it.

Alessia now attends physical therapy Mon-Fri & I have recently been forced to leave my employment to assist in the day-to-day activities. In addition to her PT, we also incorporate alternative approaches such as hyperbaric chamber treatment, electrical stimulation treatment, chiropractor adjustments & more. To optimize her chance for recovery, we have her on a comprehensive organic diet. In addition to all of that, funds collected in the past have also been used for hotel lodging as we frequently travel out of state to receive therapy for her & purchased a vehicle to do so.

Please consider donating to Alessia's fundraiser, or at the very least sharing her story. Thank you everyone!
