After battling addiction, mental health struggles, becoming a single mom, and a cancer diagnosis, Kayla has been taking all the right steps to be happy and healthy for herself and Theo. Unfortunately, after a year and a half of being cancer-free, it returned.
Diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer, called Leiomyosarcoma IIA, Kayla is facing her toughest fight yet. As a single mom, she's always put Theo first - completely turning her life around to provide him a happy, stable home. Theo’s biological dad is absent and Kayla is the only person who he feels completely comfortable around.
