Michael Kalnitz Sarcoma Research

Hi friends and family!

I am really excited to train for my 3rd marathon! I ran my first two marathons as a St. Jude Hero and raised over $5,000 in donations thanks to all of YOU! This year, I decided to switch it up and run the Chicago marathon for a new cause that is very dear to my heart.

I am running the 2015 Chicago Bank of America Marathon in honor and memory of my dad, Michael Kalnitz.

In 2006, my father strongly and heroically fought a battle with sarcoma cancer. His  undeniable charisma, sense of humor, and selflessness are just a few of the many reasons he is my greatest role model. Those that were privelaged enough to know my dad would agree that he truly brought out the best in people. Running this marathon in my dad's honor is inspiring and exciting, and I look forward to keeping you all updated throughout my journey!

I am hoping to raise awareness and funds for the Michael Kalnitz Sarcoma Research Fund at the University of Chicago. It is my hope that by raising money for my dad's research fund we can all work together to find a cure and help those in need.

As donations are made via this Go Fund Me web page, I will send the funds to The University of Chicago Gift Administration and Business Data: Michael Kalnitz Sarcoma Fund.

I appreciate your willingness to be part of this opportunity to honor my dad and cheer me on!

Kindly,
Katie :)
