Jaw Surgery Recovery

February 13 2024 Update

Hello Friends,

I just received the green light that my surgery will go ahead today as planned. Apparently, surgeries like this can be bumped at the last minute by other emergencies.

Honestly, I’m scared. I’m also hopeful about having the jaw pain and headaches behind me.

I want you to know how much I appreciate your support and kindness. I couldn’t do this without you. The community I feel around me right now is a reminder of the world we want to build together.

Hello Friends and Community,

Our dear friend Katie is having jaw surgery this month to treat chronic pain that has impacted her life for several years. Once she is released after the procedure, Katie will require six weeks of intensive recovery. Consequently, this major surgery will impact her consulting work. In addition to lost income, Katie will face substantial medical expenses, wound care, as well as food and supplies for a liquid diet costs, etc. We started a fundraising campaign with an initial goal of $4000 to help alleviate the financial burden and allow her to focus on healing. If we meet the mark, we will continue the campaign to fundraise beyond this amount, to lift Katie up in our minds and our actions.
