Missionary Trip to Cuba
Donation protected
Hey ya'll!
As you might have already read from the title of my campaign, I am going to Cuba!
This summer, July 5th through the 12th I, as well as three other young people, will be setting off for Cuba with Answer in Jesus Ministries. We will be there for approximately 7 days, and our goal is simple: to reach as many children as we can for Jesus.
Although Cuba is under communist regime, the government and people there are very open to hear the gospel. Because of that, pastors are allowed to have church services in public, although persecution is still very evident.
Despite the limited religious freedom, many churches cannot provide for their children in terms of Sunday School, and teacher lesson plans. Keep in mind that an average salary of a common Cuban is $15 per month. Given that amount, teachers are not able to provide the same resources for their students as we can here, in the United States.
So to solve this problem, the four of us will be leading a week-long kids ministry event for .... Kids! We will be getting kids together for a week of worship, games, snacks, crafts and sharing the Gospel with them. There will be children from Christian backgrounds, as well as those who have never heard about Jesus. We will also be eqipping teachers with the necessary supplies, so they will be able to continue teaching their students when we leave.
All of this however, is not possible without the financial help. It will cost approximately $1500-$1600 to live in Cuba for the 7 days (price includes plane ticket). Any other money that will be raised here, will be spent in buying the needed supplies forthis event to be made possible. Any amount will be helpful.
God bless you!!
