We are reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help.
At 69 years old, Kathy Ernest (Gallagher), our Mother, Nana and GG embarked on a courageous journey to receive a double lung transplant, a lifeline that promised her a chance at a healthier future.
However, her hopes have been recently shattered when the foundation (National Foundation for Transplants) entrusted with supporting her post-transplant care suddenly vanished, taking with it the funds meant to sustain her through her recovery journey.
Now, as she faces the harsh reality of chronic rejection of her transplanted lungs and kidneys, every breath is a battle again. Your donations will not only help her access vital medications, but also ease the financial strain of transportation costs and allowing her to focus on her continued fight for her health.
She’s currently still working part-time, but we are unsure how long this will last.
We need to rebuild the funds that was inexplicably lost and unfairly taken away from Kathy.
