Katheryn was informed yesterday morning that she has an inch long brain tumor in the center of her brain requiring a complicated surgery to occur mid-morning on Labor Day. 

Her surgeon expects a short stay in the ICU, followed by a potentially long recovery period with many unanswered questions about long term prognosis or potential ongoing treatment. 

Although Katheryn does have medical insurance, she has a high deductible plan and may not be approved to return to work for some time.
