This year I'm running the NYC Half Marathon (Sunday, March 20th) to raise money for Karma For Cara, and am hoping that you will show some love and support!

ABOUT: Karma for Cara Foundation is a non-profit founded by 21-year-old Cara Becker and her family while she was being treated for leukemia at Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center in October of 2012. Cara had always been involved in community service since a young age, and she and her family saw a tremendous need to support other patients who were going through the same challenging treatment.

Tragically, Cara passed away in December 2012 from complications from leukemia. Yet her dream lives on through the vision and works of the foundation, her family, and friends who are inspired by her example of service and interest in helping others, even when she herself was in need of help.

OBJECTIVES:
1. To promote and support youth engagement and service to others in communities throughout the US.

2. To work to reduce the suffering of cancer patients and their families.

3. To recognize and reward individuals and organizations that are having an impact in service to others due to their passion, energy and smarts.
