Unexpectedly, on July 9th, 2020, Karen passed away in her 50th year. Loving wife of Ted Tucker for 25 years. Best mother in the world to Hilary, Drew and Dawson. Daughter of Ronald McWaters and Geraldine McWaters (nee Lefebvre) (1999). Sister of Ron, Bill, Warren and Laurie. Karen will forever be in the hearts of many extended family and friends.
Karen loved to make people smile, her positive attitude was contagious. She was generous with her time and her talent and always did the best she could to help others. She had a passion for life and always said "we’re going on an adventure!" We are challenged now to move forward without her with the hope that her memory can inspire us to live our lives like she did.

The loss of a loved one, friend, someone we cared about, is never easy. This one is particularly difficult. Karen was the reason Shauna and I have our life together today. She was very insistent that I meet this friend of hers. The rest is history. Without her thoughtfulness and persistence, where would I be ? Karen was one of those people that, the moment you meet her you instantly had a smile on your face. As you can see by one of the pictures, we could sometimes communicate without saying a word ! Lol. We have many great friends today because they are Karen’s friends, and that’s how she worked her friend was your friend. How do I say goodbye to someone that meant so much ? I won’t. She might be gone from this earth, but she will never be gone from our hearts or our minds. Great memories can not be taken away. This whole situation is so very familiar to me. My heart aches for Ted and the kids. I know these feelings of sadness and disbelief will ease and be replaced with memories that make me smile and sometimes just burst out laughing. Just how she would want it. Time does heal, I just don’t know how much time.
Karen, you are missed and will be forever, but you will not be forgotten. You have given us so much to keep. Thank you for Shauna and the life we have together today, it was a gift like no other. Heaven has just realized what it has been missing. We are all blessed to have known her. We will not forget. Until we meet again, my friend. RIP.
