Karen's MS Treatment

Hi friends,
Stefan and I are writing you about our dear friend, Karen Lovell. Karen was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) a few years ago. Karen continued as an athletic trainer and her active lifestyle until she was also diagnosed with Lyme disease followed by breast cancer. Karen diligently followed everything her doctors suggested but the MS continued to progress. The MS medications seemed to make things worse. She lost hope, but decided to try something different. Those of you who know Karen know that she is not a fad follower and does her thorough research before committing. Karen researched this particular treatment for years but knew she couldn’t afford it. She has prayed, researched and sought wise Godly counsel because she only wanted to pursue this treatment if it was God’s leading. Things then began falling into place. She noted changes after altering her diet and doing 2-3 months on the oral supplements. The medical doctor directing this protocol is a Vanderbilt trained physician who has watched Karen go through the last 10 yrs of emotional and physical devastation. He has become one of the few neuro trained functional medicine doctors in the surrounding states. He recommends IV nutritional therapy while also continuing her oral supplementation. The plan was for weekly phospholipid IV's and now tapered to once every two weeks for possibly 10 more weeks. This will be in conjunction with oral supplements and strict dietary guidelines for up to a year. The goal is to repair the damaged cells in her brain and around the nerves. With the end goal being at least a much improved life.
Karen has taken 18 IV treatments and needs possibly 10 more plus the phospholipid supplements to receive as much as she can from this treatment. She feels drastically different already! The treatment is working. She has had less pain and fewer falls. Karen was recently able to attend an athletic trainer seminar and she was amazed at how cognitively alert and present she was for this two day seminar. This is something she has not experienced in YEARS.
This treatment is costly and is not covered by insurance. This is where we are asking for help. God has provided for the treatments up to this point but there are still many to go. Karen is need of $15,000 in order to complete this treatment. Karen continues to glorify God through this journey, trusting him one step at a time. We want to partner with her and ask for 1.) prayers for Karen and her continued healing, 2.) If you feel led, please donate to Karen’s treatment.
Love,
Stefan and Lindsay P-C
