We're raising funds to put up Vote No billboards across Kansas in the next two weeks to retain abortion access in the state! The Aug. 2 vote on whether or not to modify the state's constitution to remove current language protecting abortion access is the first of its kind in the nation. A Pew Research study found that Kansas residents are evenly split on their opinion. Help us get the word out and turn out the vote! This is a short timeframe and every single vote counts.
Our first step is to raise funds for one billboard in KC along I-35. It is not cheap. Costs for vinyl (static sign) or digital (shared signage) run $1,680 to $8,036 for one month, but this is a great way to remind people of what is at stake.
If we raise more money, we can add more billboards. There are options in Topeka ($1,680), five in Kansas City ($4,821-$8,036), and three in Wichita ($1,800-$2,500).
If the measure to remove language protecting abortion access passes, it will open the door for more restrictive (and currently undefined) laws regarding reproductive care. It is imperative that we inform as many Kansans as possible about the upcoming Aug. 2 election and encourage a vote of NO. This measure cannot be allowed to pass and MUST be defeated on August 2nd.
The billboard is ready to go as soon as the funds have been raised. If you can help by contributing, great! If you can't donate, please consider sharing this with your friends.
