In October 2015, Kaneeshia 'Neek' Parker was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma is a cancer that starts in cells called lymphocytes. Since the diagnosis, Mrs. Parker is currently taking her eighth chemotherapy treatment.
As a college graduate, wife, and mother, Mrs. Parker has conveyed unbelievable strength and optimism throughout this journey. Before the diagnosis, she enjoyed exercising, playing with her daughter, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Since then, she has not been able to cook without sitting, be around large groups, play for long periods of time with her daughter, and simply take a full shower; just to name a few.
